The tavern-keep, Wulf Raedgrave, comes upon s strange sight for the muddle of a village. A silver wolf lay wounded and bleeding in the center of the square. As he approached, Ghason Galewind, a warrior by nature and a woodsman, silently stepped out from the shadows and inserted himself between the man and the wolf. Ghson knelt down beside the wolf with a worried and concerned look on his face. Pulling out a bandage from his kit, he began to bind the wounds. Wulf watched as the ranger ministered to the animal with a raised brow and an expression of disdain on his one-eyed face. "Perhaps you should remove the beast to where it belongs." he suggested to the ranger. "An animal like that has no business being in the village." Ghason continued his efforts with the wold, half listening to the tavern-keep. The wolf raised her head and licked the rangers hand, struggling to ehr feet. With a look of disdain towards the man called Wulf, she turned, and then slowly walked from the village with the ranger following close behind.Several days later, Linwe, the elven elder, was seen in the smithy, melting down a silver necklace at the forge and working furiously at a project of unknown design. Why would this elven, not known for any smithy skills or interest in such heretofore, sacrifice her jewelry in such a way?
